Live Cricket score
Live Cricket scores |
Live Cricket scores contain two components–the amount of runs scored and the amount of wickets lost by each side. The scorer is anyone who has been named to report all the runs recorded, all the wickets taken and, if necessary, the amount of overs bowled. For competitive sports, for compliance with the rules of the Cricket Act, two scorers are named, most commonly one from each side.
The scorers have no idea if the runs or the extras are scored, the wickets taken or the overs bowled. It is the position of the arbiters in the field of play, who signal to the scorers in situations of confusion, such as whether the runs are to be provided as extras rather than attributed to the batsmen, or when the batsman is to be allotted a boundary of 4 or 6.
